Sub-Products You should use sub products when you wish to use the stock control functionality in Encart. Sub Products will allow you to add different sizes, colours and finishes to your products and should be used if you have a limited stock level for each size, colour or finish. You may also wish to use sub products even if you do not wish to keep a stock inventory.
Product Attributes You should use product attribute when you wish to give your customer a choice i.e. colour or finish but you are not limited to a certain stock level (if the product is bespoke). Or if you wish for the customer to add a comment about the product they are ordering (A message for the bouquet of flowers they are ordering).You may also wish to use product attributes even if you do not wish to keep a stock inventory.
